Gravel & Driveways

FREE ESTIMATES

At Finney’s Excavation and Land Services, we pride ourselves on being the best. We are a premium outdoor service, and it shows directly through our work—gravel projects are no exception. Whether foundational, cosmetic, or for a driveway or parking area, every project starts with removing topsoil. After topsoil is removed, all projects receive a layer of geotextile fabric before the first layer of rock is applied. Take a look at what we can do for you.

Geotextile fabric being installed

New driveway prep work

It is essential that all NEW gravel driveways have a premium geotextile fabric installed prior to gravel being added.

Geo-textile fabric being installed

Why we always do it

Geotextile fabric separates gravel from soil, preventing sinking and mixing that cause ruts and potholes. It  distributes weight, improves drainage by letting water pass through, and helps maintain the driveway’s structure—extending its lifespan and reducing maintenance.

The VALUE option

Using a soil conditioner on an old gravel driveway is a cost-effective alternative to adding new gravel because it reuses and strengthens the existing material instead of requiring a full resurfacing. It binds the fines in the base to create a firm, uniform layer that smooths out ruts and uneven spots, restoring a level surface without the expense of hauling and spreading new rock. (Usually about $500)

Gravel Pad/Foundations

All of our gravel pads are built and graded to the required spec. Each pad is compacted layer by layer, and carefully inspected by a team member throughout the construction process with the help of a laser transit.
